Orlok puts every screening in Lisbon in one place, from the multiplexes to the rooftops and the cinematheque, with the language each film is in and whether it has subtitles, so the small rooms are as easy to find as the big ones. If you run a cinema, a festival or a cycle, this is how it works.
Nobody pays to be here
Every cinema is listed for free, and the order people see is the order of the clock, their filters, the reviews or their own taste. No cinema can pay to be listed, to be listed higher, or to be picked. Orlok’s pick is chosen by what makes a screening worth going to: a festival, a restored print, a film you will not get another chance to see.
Orlok takes no commission on tickets. A booking link goes straight to the cinema’s site and the money goes to the cinema, and once a month Orlok can tell each cinema how many people it sent there.
